The Bagno a Sorra agricultural estate, located just outside the old walls of Siena, is run according to organica farming requirements, and extends to several other holdings in the terrain surrounding the city.
Geographically located in the anti-Apennine region of Tuscany, where the prevalent yellow sands alternate with occasional clayey soils, the estate lies to the west of the city, where the altitude varies from 250 to 350 meters above the sea level.
The mild climate, typical of the Tyrrhenian regions of central Italy, is characterised by an average annual rainfall of 800 mm circa, principally occurring durning spring and autumn, and average temperatures that fluctuate between 4°C min. and 24°C max.
The typology of this terrain has contributed to the excellent quality of the product, and continues to do so to this day.
The traditional vocation for olive growing and the continual drive for high quality and improvements, will number the estate among the most well known and best qualified producers in the region.
